Technical Product Manager

Do you live and breathe product? Do you have a development background, but lately, you’ve been leading technical products inside the product management team? You want to use those technical skills to lead a technical product, but want to make sure that it’s market driven.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

As an integral part of the product management team the Technical Product Manager will manage the technical “products” within the portfolio:

The API:

  • You will be the business owner of the API. Not only will you be the expert on how the API is consumed internally & externally, you will also help guide its design through interpretation of the business requirements, and working collaboratively with the development team.
  • You will transform the API into a customer facing interface as we expand our integrations to include 3rd parties.
  • You will drive the roadmap of the API to ensure that we can integrate with industry leaders easily, and deliver on our overall product strategy.
  • You will work with each product manager to interpret the API requirements for their associated features, and how these can be leveraged for 3rd party integrations.
  • You will measure & report on utilization of the API

Integrations:

  • All integrations to the platform will be managed by you: this includes payment processors, scheduling tools, payroll systems to name a few. You will manage the relationship with the 3rd party vendors and ensure that every integration is a success.
  • You will ensure that documentation and 3rd party integration partner onboarding is a smooth process.

Insights Infrastructure:

  • You will help build requirements for normalizing data, and infrastructure for being able to deliver data insights for our customers.  
  • While you may not be the business owner for that application, you will ensure that the platform takes into consideration this strategic direction.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You have a degree in Computer Science/Engineering
  • You preferably have a background in development so that you can communicate on a technical level with the developers
  • You have a passion for solving problems for customers, but are pragmatic about their solutions
  • You have background in Product Management preferably 3-5 years.
