Product Installation Technician - New York

The Product Installation Technician is responsible for any venues wanting to be installed to start using the TouchBistro point-of-sale (POS) solution. A successful candidate will have excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, ability to work under pressure, and has a process driven approach to troubleshooting.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • On-board merchants both onsite and via phone
  • Perform onsite installations of both computer hardware and network cabling
  • Provide product support in person and remotely
  • Configure wireless networks
  • Configure network printers and payment terminals
  • Configure Mac OSX
  • Provision TouchBistro POS solutions
  • Respond to customer support requests in a timely manner
  • Evaluate and provide installation recommendations

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to make timely decisions associated with process updates
  • Available to work on weekends and after hours
  • Work in a team environment
  • Available to work a five-day, 40-hour work week that may include weekend and/or night shifts.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Computer literacy is required (Mac OS, iOS)
  • Networking background (preferred)
  • Able to diagnose and test Ethernet wiring and wireless networks.
  • Apple hardware/software knowledge
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Coordinate with other Field Technicians and support team as required to restore network and other services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Restaurant or bar experience/background
