Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations

TouchBistro is searching for a Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations for our new Toronto technology office located at King and Spadina. The Director of IT is responsible for managing and directing the corporate IT teams, security and internal IT infrastructure. The right individual for this position will still enjoy being hands-on with all facets of IT infrastructure and operations. This means you have previous experience managing routers, networks, switches and VPNs and have experience with integrating authentication across multiple systems.

YOUR DAY-to-DAY

  • Oversee all IT infrastructure
  • Manage corporate IT teams
  • Refine IT and data security policies
  • Establish standardized IT procedures
  • Develop IT policies for PCI, SOC, change management
  • Maintain multi-office corporate network
  • Perform audits of systems and software
  • Evaluate and Implement new technologies and applications
  • Handle IT purchasing
  • Oversee and Co-ordinate setup of new office spaces
  • Manage opex and capex budgets
  • Support annual audit process

 

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or similar
  • 8+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure/Operations
  • A solid understanding of security best practices, data security and PCI compliance
  • Experience with integrating authentication across multiple system such as Active Directory/OneLogin/GSuite/Salesforce/NetSuite/RingCentral/etc. using sync tools, LDAP, SAML 2.0 SSO, OAuth, etc.
  • Currently hands-on with computer networking, routing, switching, VPNs, and wireless
  • Experience managing Apple MacOS and iOS devices using Jamf Pro (Casper Suite) and Meraki Systems Manager
  • Modern Linux administration including Nginx, Ruby on Rails, Unicorn, Node.js, Express and Docker is a nice-to-have
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and modern CI/CD pipelines
  • Managing AWS including Opsworks, ECS (Docker), RDS, EC2, VPC is a plus
